While I had fun playing around with adjusting the styling of my Anki cards, I decided that I was better off returning to the default card style. I was alarmed to find there was no “reset to default” option. After digging around, I found the default, original styling for Anki CSS cards, and wanted to share it here (for other people in the same boat, and for my own future reference):
.card {
font-family: arial;
font-size: 20px;
text-align: center;
color: black;
background-color: white;
}
Where to adjust Anki card CSS style
- Open main window of Anki (list of decks)
- Click “Tools –> Manage Note Types” on the upper menu
- Select the note type you want to adjust (i.e. “Basic”)
- Click the “Cards…” button
- Paste the CSS into the middle left box labelled “Styling”
